PaschalJ_20160806-14Ever see a spot and think, “that would make a gorgeous backdrop for photographs!”?  Me, too!  Occupational hazard, perhaps, but regardless it’s always fun to get to try out a bucket list location.  These gorgeous Suwanee Georgia fields and woods are some I pass daily, and have been wanting to use for years.  I finally got in touch with the wonderful owner to get permission to use them for a session, and she could not have been sweeter about my request.  It was just as gorgeous a location in person as it has been in my head all this time!

That being said, I should also add it was not for the faint of heart.  We were definitely not the only living creatures in the elbow-to-shoulder height growth, the sun was beating down fiercely, and the bugs were out in full force to check us out.  But the stunning mom modeling here never showed the first sign of being perturbed.

Might have something to do with spending some time on a farm growing up.  She and her siblings played in the corn fields around her house, and would hold up a hockey stick to show they were okay if their mom called to them.  Free range parenting before free range parenting had to have a name.  It could also have to do with being a stay at home mom to two young, energetic kids (one in diapers and one potty training, no less).  It takes a LOT to rattle this mom.  And really, does anyone deserve a little time to feel glamorous more than the mom of a pre-schooler and a baby?

All in all, I loved this location.  Bugs and friendly critters aside, I’m so glad to have had the chance to check it out!  I’d shoot in these Suwanee Georgia fields again in a heartbeat.
