Why Colleen Hight Photography?
I am a full-service portrait photographer, which means I guide you all the way through to having your images up on walls, stored in albums, or preserved in whatever way you will enjoy them best. You won’t be left trying to figure out why the picture got cropped funny, or why the colors don’t look the same as when you saw them with me.
I work with you to understand your needs and wants, so your session is designed just for you and your family. I’ll make sure you have the information you need to properly prepare for your family’s session so you can enjoy it. And because we will have worked closely to coordinate preferences for colors and style, your images will capture the beauty of your family’s relationships and fit perfectly in your home.
Why this Suwanee photographer? Because you can relax and know that every detail is taken care of by someone else. So you can know the process will end with artwork of your family installed in your home (not waiting for months for someone to hang and level) that you will see and find joy in every single day.
And maybe most importantly, because my sessions are actually fun, so you are left with not only beautiful portraits, but fun, sweet, precious memories that you will be reminded of every time you see your images.
Outside of photography, I am a wife and the luckiest mom on earth to two very sweet, very energetic boys.
I love fashion blogs but my standard uniform is jeans and a t-shirt. My favorite family activity is golfing, and I hope like crazy my little ones love it too (foursome!). I think relaxing on the couch with takeout and a movie makes a great date night. A good chick flick and a bag of Ghiradelli Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels are tied for my biggest guilty pleasures. Especially together. I love to read, and really love learning new things.
When I discovered photography, I found the first thing I had ever had an inexhaustible desire to continue learning about. And luckily… there’s always something more to learn! If I’m not with a client or with my family, you can find this Suwanee photographer learning more about the many facets that make photography so fascinating to me.

Why I Love Being a Suwanee Photographer!
I have lived in Suwanee for 13 years (and three miles away for the 3 years before that), and I LOVE it here. This may seem like an odd place to start, but one reason is the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office. They are truly second to none. They are present, they are available, they listen, and they are so engaged with the community. I can’t say enough good things about our wonderful Sheriff’s office. Okay, in addition to that, we have AH-mazing parks in Suwanee. They are many, varied, clean, and as a mom, a photographer, and someone who likes to get outside, I love how many green spaces and playgrounds we have at our fingertips. Next up, uur libraries and especially our librarians are fabulous. They create such beautiful, high-quality programming for the kids and adults, and of course it is all free to the public. Library storytime was a staple of my week with young kids and I have wonderful memories of the librarians because of it. Suwanee also boasts a very full and eclectic calendar of events, I challenge anyone to be bored while living here. And last but certainly not least, the people make the community. There are so many ways to get involved with people of similar life stage or interests, and I have found everything I have ventured into to be full of warm, welcoming people that want the best for each other. And that is where I am happy to call home!
